I apologize, I really thought this show wouldn't make it, I was sure of it... Now the only thing I'm sure about is, dun dun duuuuuuun, we are looking realistically at this show being that awful R worded, renewed. Dammit. Hellcats may not be the phenomenon that is the Vampire Diaries, but it's nested right in a decent spot that we will more than likely see a season two.
Hell, after watching this show a few more times, I am only certain about one thing, Ashley Tisdale has made $90,000 shaking her ass. $90,000 for three episodes. $90,000 over the course of three weeks, what the hell has this world come to? Sure, as I mentioned in the first blog, we get it, she is an attractive person, but seriously? I'll be lucky if I make that in a year!
It appears though the future will be full of pep, and for the older full of garbage, it was recently announced that a "dancing legend" is being added to teach the cheerleaders. This legend is Debbie Allen and she will have an directing "gig" with the show.
I know I'm beating a dead horse, but I just don't understand how this show is popular. On Eonline.com all kinds of people post about how awesome this show is... I just don't get it, maybe I need to be more open minded, I don't know, but Hellcats is here to stay... meow

Hellcats, must watch TV
Awesome, I picked the best show possible to watch... no not really, I'm lying. How is it possible to put so many beautiful people in a show and make it this monotonous? Maybe I should be a little more open as I don't really feel like it fits my specific age, but for fun let's tear this show apart and show this class why you should boycott this.
1. Demo audience- I think with the characters playing the lead being former Disney channel stars this fits into more of a 12-18 age range. Boys or girls may be the target gender, but for different reasons.
2. Appropriateness- At the target age range it really isn't a question as appropriate, most people have heard the words that are used in the show.
3. Cost- The highest paid star in the show is former High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale making $30,000 per episode, but other costs were undetermined.
4. Competition- Not a lot of great cheerleading TV out there, but at the time slot on 9 p.m. on a Wednesday is pretty favorable for what I think the target audience is. 9 is still early enough that the teeny boppers aren't missing bed time.
5. Neighboring Shows- Again different audience for this than many other shows this season, but as far as new show on the same network they are polar opposites. Nikita being the other new show on the CW is about a bad ass chick where as Hellcats focuses on the trials and tribulations of a girl losing her scholarships and trying out for cheerleading... diverse programming.
6. Talent- Well, maybe the one thing this show has going for it, attractive young stars dancing around in skimpy clothes or short skirts, see how that appeals to men.
7. Producers- Top producer is Tom Welling who is known for being Superman is the CW show Smallville. He has produced some episodes for the CW so with this program he is keeping it in the family. Plus Smallville still runs so he can't be completely awful.
8. Content- Well, the drama of life I guess is decent content. It isn't anything that is going to wow you, but I suppose it works.
9. Emulation- It doesn't necessarily emulate other shows, but rather it's kind of a mash up of High School Musical and Bring It On.
Overall, the show did fairly well in it's first episode posting 3.0 million viewers which is the highest in 3 years since Gossip Girl premiered. ABC listed it as one of the new seasons best upcoming shows, I can't figure that one out, but hey that's why I'm writing a blog and they make a whole lot of money.
Thats it for now, but keep tuned in for more exciting updates, and quite possibly some attractive girls in skimpy clothes.
